Lennart Meri is a Swedish writer who has been working as a journalist in Stockholm since the mid-1980s. He has written for Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, and Aftonbladet and is a frequent contributor to Dagens Eko. He has also been a columnist for the magazines Nyheter and Gula Tidningen, and was a regular commentator for SVT's political news program Rapport. Most recently he has been working for the Swedish edition of Reader's Digest, where he writes a regular column on literature and art
He has also published a number of novels and nonfiction books, including histories of the Swedish navy, Sweden's role in World War II, and Sweden's trade policy in Africa.
